Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2nd 1984) was an American actor. She is best known for her role as Molly Solverson from the FX television series Fargo during its initial season. Tolman has won nominations for the Emmys and Golden Globes. Tolman was born in New York City and has two older and one younger brother. When she was only few months old, her family relocated to England in the United Kingdom, where they lived for four years. She lived in Oklahoma for five years and after that, West Texas before moving to Sugar Land. At the Fort Bend Community Theatre, she started taking acting classes in the age of 10. Clements High School is where she went to school and was able to graduate in 2000. Baylor University awarded her a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in theatre performance. Then, in Chicago Illinois she began her study of acting at The Second City Training Center in 2009. Career in 2014, Tolman starred in the premiere series of FX Black comedy crime drama Fargo. Fargo was based on the Coen Brothers' film that had the same title. It featured Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman, along with Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was recognized for her role as Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair said that Tolman "calmly and assuredly stole" the show. Tolman received an Critics' Choice Television Award for her performance in the category Best Supporting Actress in the category of Films/Miniseries.
